BGRS: Director, Digital Solutions


This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted May 30, 2021.

As a Director, Digital Solutions, you will contribute to BGRS’ success leading a team whose mandate is to drive forward the digital roadmap with our customers and prospects.This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and innovative leader to be a key contributor to the longer term IT roadmap.What You’ll Be DoingWork closely with Client Development and Client Services who are engaged with the prospects and clients to understand their direction and strategy in order to contribute to IT solution needs.Accountable for the successful implementation of new clients from a technology and reporting perspective.Demo client technology and enhancements with prospects and current clients.Participate in Best and Final presentations and Client Forums.Responsible for the coordination, research and writing of high quality and timely RFP and RFI responses related to the digital technology platform.Be conversant on how the digital platform works; be able to work with clients to assess digital solution fit; be able to lead Client and Prospect workshops through requirement discovery as well as collaborative solution design.Key contributor to new IT digital platform development, including analysis, design, vendor selection, contract negotiation, knowledge transfer to delivery and support teams.Ensure digital solution capability aligns with Business and technical architecture strategies.Take a lead role in bringing forward digital products and trends to the IT roadmap.

Responsible for taking the finalized roadmap and bringing it to life with the various internal stakeholder groups such as IT Development and Marketing.Prepare and manage the digital technology budget, develops business cases, and presents proposals for capital projects to senior leadership.Manage the Digital Solutions team to ensure appropriate resource allocation across various portfolios and ensure the timely and effective resolution of support issuesProvide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the team and leverages internal talent programs to increase employee performance and engagement.Provides oversight and guidance to the team in the creation and delivery of technical presentations to support client development meetings with prospects and as well as demos with existing clientsWhat You Bring to BGRSUniversity degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, Information Services or equivalent.10 years of related job experience.5 year’s previous People Management experience.Strong knowledge of digital products, focusing on web and mobile channelsExperience selling client technology in a B2B environment.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) internally at various levels of the organization and externally with clients.Superior presentation skills to be able to discuss and explain information clearly and concisely to a business and technical and non-technical audience.Strong leadership abilities including experience in collaborating with Senior Management to identify business goals, influence and negotiate through conflicting needs to “sell” a solution and its benefitsAbility to conceptualize complex ideas into the key artifacts required to develop solutionsExtensive experience with writing business cases, feasibility and alternative studies and competitive and market analysisAbility to translate business requirements into technology requirements and modify business requirements according to technology constraints.Ability to think from an end user’s point-of-view in terms of application configuration, usability.Advanced problem-solving and negotiation skills.Strong results orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Previous working experience in a Matrix management structure.

Experience in product management and/or solutions management, ideally in an information technology role.You foster belonging and encourage authenticity.
