Beyond food they’re supplying and working alongside some really innovative, cutting edge clients in the Nutraceutical, Cosmetic, and NHP spaces.

The Opportunity: The Technical Sales Manager will focus on managing / increasing sales with Canadian key accounts as well as expanding more into Baking, Confectionery, Meat Processing, Cosmetics, NHPs and other sectors.

For someone who is looking for independence and the ability to manage their client book with autonomy and the support of a great R& D team and owner behind them this could be right for you.The ideal candidate will have a Food Science or related technical degree, and have strong project management / account management skills, and the ability to work with R& D and Product Development teams in a manufacturing environment.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables: Technical Sales consultations, plant trials, customer visitsUncovering new opportunities with current customers, developing solutions and applications that meet their needsUncover and find unmet needs, offer solutions, suggestions and work with Operations, R& D, Sales and Marketing to find new better product solutionsNew business development, identifying new potential customers in the Canadian marketplaceKey account Management of current customer base, increasing sales along with profitabilityLead team in tracking of launch process and execution against new product launches with new and current customersUnderstand monthly results.

Accountability for these results with the ability to drive volume with classic sales techniquesField and pursue all new business leads that fit strategy and profit targetsBuild all presentations for customer appointments working closely with R& D, Operations and Product Marketing.Desired Skills & Qualifications: Technical sales experience with a food science / ingredient / or engineering background.A passion for R& D, New Product Development, cutting edge technologies and applications in food / NHP / personal care products.University Degree / College Diploma, food science or business and/or marketing5 years key accounts sophisticated of sales experienceProven ability in consultative technical sales with complex food applicationsDemonstrated understanding of customer serviceSuperior communication skills, verbal and writtenGood problem-solving skills and judgmentSelf-starter with low need for supervisionExcellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint applicationsStrong hunter mentality and ability to switch between farming and hunting based on targets and client needs.
