Diff: Business Development Manager

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGEREmployment Type: Full-timeLocation: Montreal, CanadaAre you a tech savvy Business Development Manager who specializes in eCommerce?As a Business Development Manager at diff, you will be the face of the company.

Your time will be spent with merchants shaping the future of retail, helping turn their vision into reality.Your keen business acumen and affinity for technology will serve you well in this role.

You will lead detailed discovery sessions with new and existing clients on topics ranging from end to end eCommerce implementations, business operations and integrations.

You can sell in a consultative manner, drafting proposals that are aligned with our clients’ business needs and support their growth.What is Business Development at Diff?We excel at capturing & understanding our clients’ business challenges, needs, and goals and translating them into an elegant solution that will ultimately take their business to the next level.

We focus on collaboration and providing the inputs and requirements to our technical leads to create best-in-class solutions that exceed client expectations and support the organization’s revenue goals.What You’ll Do Own the sales process from qualification to close.

Be a subject matter expert on the Shopify ecosystem.

Lead, influence, and consult in the discovery and requirements gathering process with clients and prospects in order to create Statement of Work documents.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define the best solution based on the client’s current needs, desired future state, and limitations.

Create and present project proposals to clients and prospects including high-level solution design, project scope, effort & cost estimates, and related customer documents leveraging Diff’s unique value proposition.

Conduct internal hand-off meetings and participate in client kick-off meetings for new projects entering diff’s portfolio.

Manage RFI and RFP response processes.

What You’ll Need Experience in one of the following domains: account-based sales, eCommerce management, retail operations, digital marketing, website development.

Ideally with a focus on eCommerce and technology.

Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent.

Relevant experience in eCommerce, retail and/or website development.

You are a natural at building relationships and consultative selling.

You have a passion for retail and the entrepreneurs shaping the future of retail.

You have a strong acumen for retail operations.

You are energetic, self-directed and possess a stellar work ethic.

You are curious and love talking shop with clients and their business.

You are passionate about connecting the dots between people, products, and processes.

You love getting better each day, trying new things and iterating, all at a lightning-fast pace.

You are eager to collaborate internally with colleagues to solve the toughest problems with creative solutions.

Bonus points for…

Training in consultative sales and experience at a leading tech company.

Experience managing or working in a retail head office environment.

Experience in Business Analysis, Ecommerce Management, Project Management.
