FIME: Payment Technical Consultant


This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted July 18, 2021.

Mission: Are you a payment technical consultant?

Join us!

You will help our clients (merchants, banking institutions and payment schemes) digitally transform.

You will support their payment services by providing technical guidance in latest payment technologies enabling them to launch additional services.

A successful candidate has a broad knowledge of payment technologies and ecosystems.

You will also possess great problem-solving skills and ability to deliver recommendations to customers’ decision-makers.

ACTIVITIESRepresent Fime as a payment domain technical expert and advisor; Meet with assigned clients when needed and provide strategic technical impact analysis; Collaborate with clients on payment implementation including product; certification in both new and existing technologies; Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients; Manage project and quality assurance of project deliverables; Provide paymentconsulting services (including training and workshops) to clients; Promote Fime product and services in addition to the consulting activities; Support Fime Product & Marketing and Sales in presales activities; Coach junior consultants; Plan and organize the project phases.

Monitor work progress; Provide status updates and reports to the customer.

JOB EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field; 5 years of experience in the payment industry with experience in issuing and/or acquiring; Proven experience as technical consultant or equivalent in payment industry; 3 years of experience, experience with either development or implementation of payments solution is required.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Fluent in English; Experience withthe latest payment technologies (including mobile payment), standard/specifications and market developments; Familiarity with a wide selection of testing tools for payment devices and payment acceptance devices is a plus; Customer focus and outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; Strong analytical skills, result driven and team player; Flexibility to work across time zones with groups regionally and globally.
