General Supervisor, Fabrication (Evening)


This is a Contract position in Montreal, QC posted January 7, 2022.

” YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Regularly communicating and outlining the mission and expectations to your unit members, in order to achieve established performance targets for occupational health and safety, quality, productivity, professional development and cost management, and advising management of any critical issues.

Supporting a team of supervisors involved in managing daily operations.

Acting as a coach and role model by promoting teamwork, innovation, professional development and autonomy to the working teams, in a healthy climate that is conducive to open communication.

Promoting positive working relationships in partnership with the Human Resources team and the Labour Relations Committee, while also ensuring the application of all relevant policies.

Actively participating in the unit’s budgetary process, and be accountable for results.

Collaborating with other Units to achieve the Production Group’s overall objectives.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS DEC (DCS) in industrial management, mechanical engineering, or any other related field; Excellent communicator and team player with a good ability to influence; Skilled at analyzing and resolving production issues; Skilled at delegation and team development; Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a partnership model (Human Resources/Labour Relations Committee/management); Well-organized, able to manage priorities, with a good sense of initiative; Strong ability to influence and engage; French spoken and written communication skills; Knowledge of Word, Excel and SAP software; Available to work evening shifts; Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is an asset.

This position is located in Valcourt, in the Operations sectors .
