Global incident response, senior manager

Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.Position SummaryReporting to the Global CISO, the successful candidate will play a key, strategic and operational role in the development, management, and continuous improvement of the Incident Response (IR) program.

The successful candidate will roadmap and lead the transformation of the Incident Response program from current state to desired state, with strategic alignment from the CISO and executive leadership.

This role will need to quickly assess current gaps and reduce risk by defining and managing roles and responsibilities for resources and technology in times of need.

The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record to produce tested remediation plans and manage successful outcomes.This role will also serve as an escalation point for significant security incidents and must be able to perform the necessary technical and managerial tasks to summarize incident related data.Responsibilities
•Acts as the Incident Escalation Point for material incidents / breaches
•Build/adjust a framework to manage incidents and integrate with existing or newly created workflows/procedures for increased efficiency
•Contributes to yearly improvements to the Incident Response Lifecycle to justify road mapped budget towards the program and conduct post mortem exercises to highlight gaps as needed
•Produce management oversight with milestones with dependencies and risk mitigation techniques to achieve program objectives
•Experience in working closely with pre-established stakeholders at all levels
•Prepare and test effectiveness of global resources to be quickly deployed in times of need, maximizing investments for worldwide support
•Develop and conduct tabletop exercises
•Vigilant of significant emerging threats that are relevant for SyntaxQualifications
•5 years of experience managing complex programs spanning multiple technology teams and stakeholder groups
•Experience in cyber security, incident response, crisis management
•Expert program management skills, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
•In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives
•Strong understanding of forensics tools and procedures to ensure compliant image acquisitions
•Familiar with incident response processes, network investigative techniques, malware analysis.
•Experience with security frameworks such as CIS, NIST Cyber security Framework
•Assist with compliance and/or certification efforts (SOC, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)
•Experience in developing procedures, policies, and processes
•Understands advanced attack methods
•Experience in developing and testing playbooks based on NIST methods and procedures
•Knowledge of malware patterns and analysis and identification of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs)
•Ability to work with Blue team / internal pentest activities
•Comfortable presenting to executive and senior leadership.
•Strong collaborative skills to enable success across multiple regions and levels.
•Exhibits initiative, follow-up and follow through with commitments.
•Ability to quickly delegate and prioritize work under pressure
•Manages multiple priorities in a high pressure environment.
