For further information, please visit www.Mercerint.Com.A.Purpose:To provide specialized maintenance and equipment reliability expertise to the operation, to support of the achievement of excellent safety, environmental, and reliability performance.B.Core Responsibilities:Assess and manage risk for the safety of mill personnel, the environment and for the business.Support the right Safety and Environmental culture.Meet all responsibilities outlined in the Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities for Safety document, support and hold other stakeholders accountable for their responsibilities.Collaborate with the Area Managers, Area Coordinators, Predictive Maintenance Manager, Planning and Scheduling Manager to maximize cross functional effectiveness (e.G.

Reliability Teams and the ‘matrix’ organization).Communicate with employees on a regular basis, engaging them in our business successes, challenges, direction and priorities.

Ensure that employees participate appropriately in business problem solving and decision-making processes.Provide leadership and focus on Reliability Initiatives and change projects.Ensure standardized procedures, policies and effective processes are developed, adopted and complied to.Participate in the development of the mill’s strategic plan and support its implementation.Contribute to the mill’s capital planning and implementation processes.Develop and maintain an operational plan for your area with ongoing cost management, budget control and performance management.Uphold all important organizational Principles and Values as defined in the following documents:Mercer ValuesMercer Code of EthicsCelgar’s World Class Safety Values and Leadership’s Commitment to SafetyUnion/Management Relationship PrinciplesOur Reliability PrinciplesOur Common PurposeC.Specific Areas of Responsibility: 1.Supervise the Technical trades group responsible for Lubrication and Condition Based Monitoring programs.2.Ensures that the Lubrication plan is adhered to, condition monitoring routes are completed, and all alarms acknowledged.3.Drives for high productivity, precision workmanship, technical accuracy, and consistent reporting standards.4.Responsible for Commissioning and Start-ups and performance testing of new and rebuild equipment.5.Support and develop the Reliability Team staff to maximize their engagement and the performance of their areas by identifying and prioritizing area reliability concerns.6.Utilize the CMMS system to document all work and track issues; ensures that Area Coordinators understand the issues and risks, and that problems are resolved in a timely manner.7.Work with the Mechanical Engineers to develop and improve lubrication procedures on operating equipment; including new or modified equipment.8.Assist in tracking of equipment condition and process availability; this information is used to develop bad actor list to improve PM’s and justify capital improvements.9.Work with the Planners and Planning/Scheduling Manager to ensure timely repairs.10.Ensure that maintenance personnel are trained in precision maintenance procedures and understand the technical aspects of maintaining the mill.11.Ensure a high level of compliance to all mill standards, expectations, policies, processes, and procedures in the production department.Define and control the standards required for the maintenance of the plant.12.Ensure that maintenance employees are involved appropriately in the development of policies, processes and procedures within the Reliability area of the mill.13.Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure that Collective Agreement and hourly practices are consistent.Operational Area ownership:All areas operated by the mill’s production departments.Work with the Technical Groups to develop the Mill-wide maintenance strategy Systems or Other ownership:SOP’s (Maintenance Technical Standards)Avantis PM systemSKF ptitude, DS software and continues monitoring systemDrive Operator Driven Reliability, (ODR) Program Esso E-plusFluid Life Oil Analysis programQualifications:The successful candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and minimum of five (5) years of experience, or; Trade qualification with minimum ten (10) years of experience, advanced level of knowledge and experience of the vibration and oil analysis; certifications from recognized institution in vibration analysis and lubrications preferable.As a learning organization, we are working together to be the best for our communities, our environment, and our future.
