This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted April 5, 2021.

As a Data Privacy Director, you will provide support and facilitate project planning, development, implementation and monitoring of compliance policies, international standard practices, and privacy regulatory frameworks in a multijurisdictional setting and with different categories of data.You will be involved in a range of assignments and special projects, enumerated in the description below, along with the opportunity to lead and mentor your team all the while developing your knowledge and skills in the field.What You Will Be Doing Support and assist the planning, development, and implementation of the data privacy program during the complete data life cycle in accordance with the data ethics principles of the organization, best industry practices and multijurisdictional privacy regulatory frameworks and requirements.

Lead an international team of privacy analyst as well as provide support and guidance to internal stakeholders.

Conduct and support compliance audits and report on identified risk.

Strategize and report on the effectiveness of the data privacy and information security by design and default strategy, data governance and data-risk management.

Support the monitoring and implementation of system/processes development for data-privacy and data protection compliance.

Review the development and delivery of privacy metrics.

Monitor data subject requests.

Organize, plan, and assign specific tasks to the data privacy analysts.

Must HavesWhat you will need to be successful: Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, law, a related field, or equivalent experience 4-year experience working in Data Privacy, auditing, information security consulting or equivalent roles.

Strong knowledge of Canada, U.S.

and European privacy laws, regulations, and best practices Ability to identify privacy and IT issues and associated mitigation.

Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to new technologies Interested in tech (so how things work) Strong verbal and written communication skills Nice To Haves Experience with security and information management standards Basic understanding of databases and/or programming IAPP or other Privacy certification Previous technical writing experience Project management, Jira and agile methodologies knowledge would be an asset.
