The Senior Project Manager is responsible to lead the delivery of multiple projects and project teams and is responsible for ensuring a consistent and standardized approach is used by those individual teams.Responsibilities:Establish and maintain good relationships with clients and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.Direct and motivate the assigned team during the project lifecycle (requirements, data, quality assurance, web, configuration, programming).Establish and maintain a robust oversight and governance frameworkWork on multiple projects concurrentlySet priorities, making sure they are identified and communicated, with regular follow-up with clients and the internal team.Utilize project management knowledge to adhere to set standards with respect to project scope, time, costs and quality.Prepare or revise estimates and timelines for the various project tasks.Establish project plans in conjunction with the internal client team, external stakeholders, and the client.Track the progress of the work and project status at weekly meetings (internal meetings and client meetings) and report to the governance committees.Prepare regular project status summaries and present them to clients and team members.Establish project risk-management strategies and apply them internally and with clients.Upon project completion, guide the transition between the client and the internal support team.Provide leadership in project management activities, make recommendations for improvements.Work closely with Business Development to support the sales process (contribute to proposals; participate in finalistpresentations, etc.).Work with the IT PMO to coordinate dependencies and deliverables for core product releasesSet high standards for own work and ensure high quality outcomes are achievedSet realistic and achievable expectations for deliverablesEffectively communicate with senior management and clients about project status and risksSucceeding as a Senior Project Manager, will require the core qualifications and skills:Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics or a related disciplineMinimum of 10 years of experience in software installation and/or benefits or defined benefit pension administration implementation, including 10 years in project management, or equivalent experienceExcellent knowledge of benefit administration and/or defined contribution pension administration processes is requiredProven analytical and organizational skills, ability to synthesize information, and flexibility in managing multiple projectsExcellent communication skills in order to effectively discuss the status of each project and address and resolve problems that may impact project successGood ability to manage and motivate a work groupGood sense of initiative and excellent problem-solving skillsWork independently with minimal supervisionBilingualism is an assetAvailable to travel in North America
