Project manager- aviation

Alter Ego Personnel Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Montreal, QC posted November 2, 2019.

This is a new opportunity for a leading customer in the aeronautics market.

We are looking for a project manager who has already proven himself in the field of aviation.

The main tasks are to carry out the project, manage human, financial and operational resources, maintain constant communication with stakeholders and ensure daily follow-up with developers, suppliers and the company’s internal resources in order to carry out training programs.

You will have to work with a wonderful team of experts in their field: educational technology experts, multimedia developers, graphic designers and content developers.

Here are the tasks associated with the position: Manage projects to develop teaching materials for the training of student pilots in training centres.

Collaborate with educational system designers, courseware designers, multimedia designers and subject matter experts to design courses and deploy instructor-led training materials, such as client manuals, trainer’s guides, examination PowerPoints, information sessions, performance documents and progress reviews and audits Interact with clients to interpret and respond to needs and expectations in order to develop effective training solutions.

Estimate and manage budgets for the development of courseware Take charge of the entire life cycle of the project, from launch to completion, through planning, design, construction, testing, testing, testing and implementation.

Collaborate with the program manager, team leaders, subject matter experts and clients to develop and deliver training programs on a global scale.

Create a project charter, schedule, risk management plan and other management plans as required.

Plan and define project role and responsibility requirements, review and assign high-level tasks and communicate expectations for task completion.

Assess requests for project changes or any proposed changes that affect the project.

Monitor and control the timing, costs and quality of the project Maintain and communicate project progress reports, project plans and issues.

Provide reports throughout the project life cycle.

Manage a mixed workforce organization including contractors and consultants.

You are the ideal candidate if: Bachelor’s degree in any field.

Master’s degree or MBA a plus.

With a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in project management, aviation is an asset.

Experience working with training and development teams and delivering training products to international audiences.

Previous experience in instructional design and training development is a plus.

Strong communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated experience working and communicating with various levels, both inside and outside the company, including senior management, technical staff and end users.

Strong analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

Experience working with international and multicultural teams.

Experience in managing consultants and suppliers.

Experience in building strong customer relationships and managing customer expectations.

In-depth knowledge of project management methodology (in particular PMI standards).

PMP accreditation is a plus.

Strong knowledge of planning software tools such as MS Project or similar.

Position in Ville Saint Laurent.

One-year term.
