Loblaw’s business is very diverse and will provide exposure to many industries, such as grocery retail, pharmacy retail, wholesale and logistics.

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for Accounts Payable inquiries, payment processing and Vendor Income/ Audit activities with the goal of strengthening the supplier relationship for the business.

______________________________________________________________________ Job Title: Senior Manager, Procure to Pay Employment status: Full-time permanent Employment location: Winnipeg, Manitoba _______________________________________________________________________ The key responsibilities are as follows: Manage competing priorities, and support Continuous Improvement and overall optimization of the team all within a fast-paced environment Build and develop a strong team of Vendor Services & Vendor Income/ Audit professionals Oversee Procure to Pay for the organization, define strategies to improve Vendor Income & Audit and reduce payment inquiries Handle supplier escalations in a timely manner Support and review the procure to pay processes and controls including period end accruals, vendor income/ audit disputes, balance sheet reconciliations, various journal entries and analysis Assist with defining team metrics and set strategies to meet or exceed targets Drive collaborative cultural change and awareness by building working relationships based on trust, and improving collaboration within portfolios Take an assertive role in the identification and implementation of process improvement and system modifications to increase productivity and efficiency; set process standards where appropriate Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives Ensure that company financial policies and procedures are being followed correctly and consistently while harmonizing across the Enterprise Develop, maintain, and manage KPIs, dashboards and conduct monthly reviews with Merch Category, Finance and Operations Manage business expectations, and setting priorities as appropriate Mentor and coach team members in achieving their goals and IDPs, provide feedback and address any performance issues Support Senior Management with the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key strategic initiatives as needed Ensure all department tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner Review employee engagement results and develop overall action plan Review results and drive change to fix underlying issues Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required The candidate must possess the following skills: A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate, supply chain and/or retail will be considered an asset Minimum of 5
– 7 years finance or accounting experience Solid experience on Procure-to-pay process is preferred Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement Strong written and verbal communication skills are required Results Oriented and Critical Thinking skills Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel (pivot table, v-look up and creating formulas) Proven People Management and Coaching skills Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi task daily activities in a fast-paced environment Must be able to make sound decisions by realistic analysis of all relevant facts and provide advice to the business, outlining pros and cons to the different options Ability to lead by example, demonstrating a determined, energetic and positive approach Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with ability to develop strong relationships Ability to delegate work and follow up for completion Familiarity with SAP and MicroStrategy systems will be an asset Proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects simultaneously to strict deadlines Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team Loblaw Companies Ltd.
