Salary(Grade:NM1) Hiring salary range $81069-$111,470 Position Purpose Provide overview and guidance to the project team to ensure that contractual obligations and performance objectives are achieved.

Acts as a subject matter expert on all matters pertaining to commercial management and claim strategy.

Guides and mentors the project team in the review of contractual terms, tracking of commercial issues and fulfilment of engagements.

Essential Qualifications Minimum of seven (7) years of contract management and operations/commercial experience.Experience working on large complex capital projects and experience working with contract regulations and the related laws (strongly preferred).Solid understanding of legal terminology and experience with claims, claims strategy, and preparing claims defense.Knowledge of construction, equipment/equipment performance, and construction managementPossesses strong leadership skills and is comfortable with working as part of a large project teamSuperior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlinesExcellent written and oral communication skillsExemplifies creative problem solving abilitiesExhibits strong analytical, critical thinking abilities and attention to detailPossesses excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgment skillsDisplays exceptional strategic thinking as it pertains to commercial management Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to achieve an objective or a project.
